| Emerald Chorale Tour, or My Trip to Ireland On June 2, I had the immense privilege of travelling to the country of Ireland for 2 weeks on a chorus tour!! Since it was such an incredibly awesome time and such a momentous occasion, I decided it merited getting a bunch of pictures posted on here. Enjoy...
Loading up to head to JFK airport from PA. Fairview Christian School was kind enough to supply us with a bus and a driver.
Mr. Jay, doing a great job of navigating the hills of PA and the streets/highways of NY.
Krista emphatically making a point.
Unloading at JFK...

Our first view of Ireland, which by this time was Tuesday morning.
Immediately upon arriving, we headed to our first tourist destination: Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. (Is your Bunratty? Some Irish names can be amusing, hee hee) The original fort built on this location was made of wood in A.D. 1251. The first stone structure was built in 1277, and the castle you see below was built in 1425. A very tired yours truly.
Can anybody say "Patrick O'Rourk"? (Or however you spell that, the officer from the old Ranger Bill radio show.) This was one of the dressed up people in the Folk Park, which is basically an entire village that the Irish government decided to preserve along with the castle.
