| Here is an absolutely gorgeous video of a bunch of still shots put together over quite a timespan, from the way it sounds. The scenery and footage is breathtaking, not to mention the time it took to get it all. Copy and paste the link below, and (if you have anything faster than dial-up, anyway) take the time to let it load in good quality and watch. I'm sure you'll be glad you did. http://vimeo.com/32852978 | | |
| This is incredible. And it's a running V-12 engine, too! The guy put something over 1200 hours into building it, and to anyone who knows engines, it is a work of art. Check it out, it is amazing. Just copy and paste the link below into the address bar in your browser... www.wimp.com/tiniestengine/ | | |
| Okay, I'm going to link you to a story, and even if you don't have any interest in cars, you should go read it! This story came out about 10 months ago, about a man who bought an old pickup he found online, and the blood, sweat, & tears he expended to get it. The link is here: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/28/how-not-to-buy-a-project-vehicle-the-tale-of-the-1975-internati/ The pickup is now for sale, after having a bunch of work done on it, here: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/2501863867.html After reading the story of how he bought it, it's worth reading over the sale ad to see what all has been fixed on it. I have no hankering for an International pickup, but the story is, like I said in the title, EPIC. Enjoy! | | |
| Hello. Perhaps whoever reads this post (anyone out there anymore? grin) has already seen this, but I thought it was amusing enough to repeat. I got it off a comment on another blog, which was talking about the formation of the American Redneck Society (If you're interested, you can click on the link at the bottom of this post). I hope you enjoy it.
You might be a redneck if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, 'One nation, under God..'
You might be a redneck if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.
You might be a redneck if: You still say ' Christmas' instead of 'Winter Festival.'
You might be a redneck if: You bow your head when someone prays.
You might be a redneck if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem
You might be a redneck if: You treat our armed forces veterans with great respect, and always have.
You might be a redneck if: You've never burned an American flag, nor intend to.
You might be a redneck if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.
You might be a redneck if: You respect your elders and raised your kids to do the same.
You might be a redneck if: You'd give your last dollar to a friend.
