Is anyone still reading this? (Don't answer that.) :-/

Anyway, if anyone who is reading this doesn't understand how the differential works in a vehicle, but has always WANTED to understand, here is a great video clip which, although made decades ago, explains in very clear terms what goes on inside that big round thing that you see in the middle of the rear axle (and/or front axle, on 4-wheel drive vehicles) of a pick-up, car, truck, etc. I know how differentials work, but this video was fascinating even to me, so even if you're not into cars, or you already know everything about them (which is next to impossible), give yourself about 10 minutes of time and watch this video clip on Autoblog! Take the time to click on the "HQ" button and let the higher-quality picture load...it'll be worth it, I'm sure.

Emerald Chorale Tour, or My Trip to Ireland

On June 2, I had the immense privilege of travelling to the country of Ireland for 2 weeks on a chorus tour!! Since it was such an incredibly awesome time and such a momentous occasion, I decided it merited getting a bunch of pictures posted on here. Enjoy...

Loading up to head to JFK airport from PA. Fairview Christian School was kind enough to supply us with a bus and a driver.

Our illustrious director, Urie, and his wife Delilah, finishing their part of the supper we ate in the airport.

Our first view of Ireland, which by this time was Tuesday morning.

Immediately upon arriving, we headed to our first tourist destination: Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. (Is your Bunratty? Some Irish names can be amusing, hee hee) The original fort built on this location was made of wood in A.D. 1251. The first stone structure was built in 1277, and the castle you see below was built in 1425.

A very tired yours truly.

Can anybody say "Patrick O'Rourk"? (Or however you spell that, the officer from the old Ranger Bill radio show.) This was one of the dressed up people in the Folk Park, which is basically an entire village that the Irish government decided to preserve along with the castle.

This is what a lot of the country looked like, and is known for: GREEN! It was quite impressive.

You knew I would take shots like this, right?

This is Jimmy, one of the locals who attends the Beachy church. I enjoyed talking to him, even though I couldn't always understand him. I love the accent over there, I just wish I could imitate it better!

Wow, what an incredible weekend. SMBI came through here, wonder of wonders, and I had the awesome privilege of hosting 4 of my good friends from a couple of years ago in my house!!!! I was hoping to get a group picture of the five of us, but time ran out and they had to board the bus. Kevin, Brian, Sommers, and Edris, thank you so much for the awesome times. I love you guys, and I miss you already. To you and the rest, I wish a totally rewarding and blessing time on the rest of your tour, and I wish my house were bigger so I could've had more of y'all here...

To those of you in my area who weren't at one of their OR programs, you definitely missed a taste of Heaven itself in song.
